Moonchild
Dance is an interactive
dance program offered to primary school students from
kindergarten through to year seven. We offer a unique
opportunity for students to experience fun, modern day,
funk/hip hop class, within the safety of their school
environment and the comfort of their peers, class teacher
and a positive dance instructor.
Why
We're Unique
Over
a 40 to 60 minute Moonchild Dance lesson, students will
experience all facets of a regular, mainstream dance
class including: participating in dancing games, warm-ups
and choreographed dance routines tailored to suit individual
year levels and developmental abilities. In each lesson
the students will first participate in dancing games
followed by safe dance warm-ups. They will then learn
a variety of dance genres and world dance styles including
Salsa, African, Country & Western, Disco, Rock 'n'
Roll, Asian Contemporary, Body Percussion, Cabaret and
of course, the all popular Funk/Hip-Hop Dance.
After
warm-ups and a world dance experience, students will
work consistently each lesson, in learning their class's
funk/hip-hop routine to modern and popular mainstream
dance music. Moonchild Dance Instructors teach a small
section of this funk/hip-hop routine to students at
each visit. This routine is then performed for parents
and/or peers on a nominated date, as decided by primary
class teachers. |
